Don’t Push My Buttons: 1964 Plymouth Valiant Wagon

When you see a picture of a classic domestic car at a drag strip, it usually includes some lifted front tires and a tale of 10 second glory. This next car didn’t twist off the line and annihilate the Fox body Mustang in the next lane, and with an admitted 20 second 1/4 time (slant-6 and push button auto) it probably would lose to a Prius…but this next car is more about smiles than speed. Find this 1964 Plymouth Valiant Wagon offered for $7000 in Eagle Rock, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Super fun cruiser, this car makes people happy. Paint, interior and mechanicals in great condition. Slant 6 with push button automatic trans. All new fuel system with rebuilt carb and cylinder head. Four wheel drum brakes have new wheel cylinders, pads and hardware kits. Upgraded to dual reservoir master with booster.
New window felts and door weatherstripping. New stereo w/Bluetooth and central dash speaker.

Rear power window works.
Highway worthy, I road tripped it to Arizona and competed in open racing at the Tucson Dragway (20 second 1/4 mile!)
It drips oil and trans fluid from the usual spots. The rear main seal leaks if you park with the nose of the car uphill.
I have the title and the registration is current.
