It might be known as All Souls’ Day up here in the Northern tip of the Americas, but south of the Rio Grande they call it Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead. So, let’s take a quick trip to a few car graveyards and see what we can dig up. Like this 1970 Plymouth Cuda offered here on eBay bidding for $1,500 reserve-not-met with a $5000 buy-it-now, located in Rhinebeck, NY.
The Plymouth Barracuda was moved from the A-Body to the E-Body with its third generation release in 1970 — and they are hot collectibles today. The easiest way to find one for $5k buy-it-now on eBay is to get a time machine and travel back to when they were $5k…but you might find that eBay didn’t exist back then, so the next best option is to find one that has been rolled and left for dead in a field in upstate New York.
The seller lists the car as an original 4-speed 340 V8 equipped ‘Cuda, which is great, but it seems to be missing engine and transmission…in fact, the only thing you really get for the $5k is some scrap metal and these two little stamped plates.
