Corvair power: 1973 Porsche 914
For decades, Porsche 914’s were snubbed by aficionados of the brand. Nowadays, even lowly Porsche 912’s are commanding crazy asking prices. A similar fate has begun to happen with other long time cheapo car-guy favorites: the BMW 2002 and Alfa Berlina. With a little sweat equity, someone can have a very inexpensive classic car here. Find this 1973 Porsche 914 for sale in Danbury, CT for $1,500 via craigslist.
Details and pictures are a little on the skimpy side here, but this car seems accurately described as a ongoing project. The car has a 110 horsepower Corvair flat six engine that was reported to have run OK back in 2013. The engine sports a Holley 2 barrel carburetor with a ungainly air cleaner that might be taller than the roof of the car.
Rust is always a serious concern on 914’s. Fans of these cars always talk about the battery “hell hole” area that is almost always rusty. This car is said to have usual rust, but is mostly complete. The seller is including fiberglass flares, extra body parts, and wheels with good tires in with the deal.

1. Fark off with the advertisement Bert, pay for it like a civilized person rather than spamming comments.
2. Why in the world would you use a Corvair engine when you could use a Subie or other more modern implementations?
Please help me and click the little 3-dots to the right of the "about" on the following google+ page for mr BertCarl. and then "report abuse" "this user's profile" "spam". That is all for now, I am deleting the rest of his/her spam, but leaving this one for now.
