Cool Project: 1970 Triumph GT6

I’ve got a good friend who drives a classic Triumph GT6 that looks a bit like this next car — and it is a bottom of the barrel project, but people stop and take photos of it and he gets celebrity treatment everywhere but Pebble Beach. Most people don’t know what a Triumph GT6 is, but that is part of what makes ownership fun. Find this 1970 Triumph GT6 offered for $4300 in Phoenix, AZ via craigslist.

Having owned several of these, I feel confident that the transmission is badly damaged in this car. What a mess for 4300 bucks.
Since I’m a assuming “Hatch Bach” & “Maybach” are very different things I’m saying $1,200 max for this the most unlovely car from a company that made quite a few of them.

Phew! That interior shot of the shot interior saved me lots of fantasizing time… and money.
