This next car came with a burst of small block enhanced déjà vu. I swear I’ve seen this exact same car before…offered for a same price..but it appears the car listed here in 2017 for roughly the same price and condition is NOT the same car but a doppelganger. So…do the same reasons for featuring that car still apply? You bet! The added reliability and reduced cost of the Chebby swap makes me wanna have a V8. Find this 1976 Jaguar XJ Series 2 offered for $4,500 in Lebanon, OR via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!
From the seller:
1976 jaguar xj-series
paint color: black
title status: clean
This is a great example of the timeless 1976 series 2 XJ style. The car has been restored in past years with new upholstery, headliner, wood finishes, suspension rebuild, conversion to 350 Chevy engine (355 bored and balanced), rebuilt 700r4 overdrive transmission, just re-built the carburetor, newer paint and tinted windows. Comes with good tires. The only detractor is that the paint has some bubbling over the top but it still shines and looks great. The car drives like a dream and sounds really great with a quiet yet throaty 350 rumble. I have receipts for around $30k in restoration work. The car is set up to drive and looks awesome on the road. Definitely a head turner and a joy to step into.
No out of state sales, no trades, cash only. And we Do Not need help selling the car.
