You know how I love to advertisements with bad photos and limited details of a typical craigslist posting? Yeah. Well, today I’m not going to do that with this next feature…is it because I’m feeling charitable? Nope. It is because this next car is potentially a huge bargain for what you get. Find this 1971 Toyota Corona Mk II Wagon offered for $5,900 in Orange County, CA via craigslist.
Does it matter that the seller doesn’t include a model identified and that I had to stare at photos of 1971 Toyotas to determine if this was a Corolla, Corona, or Mark II?? Nope. Does it matter that the seller doesn’t mention where he engine came from? Nope, because it looks like a Chevy 327 V8 to me. What about the portrait oriented photos? Nope, not a big deal, I can see what I need to see. What about the fact that the car has a custom paint job, is bumper-less, and has a totally custom interior? Nope, these are all great things, because $5,900 doesn’t even begin to cover the cost of swapping your own 327 V8 into a hulk of a Toyota wagon, or a paint job…etc.
And this ladies and gentlemen is where/how/when you get a good deal on a car. It isn’t the perfectly setup pictures with good details, it is the guy who just wants to sell his car. Seriously, somebody buy this car before I do. See another screamin deal? firstname.lastname@example.org
