Call me Ishmael: 1969 Saab 96 V4

The Saab 96 was the final evolution of the original aerospace derived and teardrop shaped Ur-SAAB. In typical Saab fashion, the 96 continued in production long after its planned replacement (the 99) was released, in fact the 96 continued in production through 1980. Today the 96 makes a great uncommon alternative to something like the VW Beetle and can be picked up for not a lot of cash. Find this 1969 Saab 96 V4 offered for $7,900 near Denver, CO via craigslist. Tip from Zach Z.
From the seller:
Here is a very nice driver quality Saab 96 that looks and runs great. It had a full restoration about 15 years ago and still looks great. There are few minor blemishes but over all this 96 is in great shape. The 4 Spd on the column works as it should and there is no slippage from the clutch. The interior still looks great and is void of any smoke or odors.
The tires are like new. The engine fires right and is ready to take you to the next cars and coffee. Rest assured that you probably won’t run into another Saab 96 there. lol. Call (303) 902-3883 to set up an appointment to see and drive this very nice old Saab. This car has been in my own personal collection for the last 10 years.

Chapter 17 no doubt?
Most obscure first day of Ramadan reference ever.
Bravo!
Dreaming of a two car garage with one of these and a Lotus Europa if only the roads weren't clogged with balæna ludo vehiculum
I do like these, although not so much in white. But it runs great, looks great, is in great shape and the interior looks great, so.. great.
It would be fun to have a V4. What a funky little motor.
