Budweiser and Bertone: 1972 Fiberfab Aztec 7

Founded in the 1960s, Fiberfab became known for wild, low-volume kit cars that borrowed heavily from the exotic-car dream world while keeping the mechanical bits cheap, familiar, and mostly Volkswagen-shaped. The Aztec 7 was one of its most outrageous efforts, clearly inspired by the wedge-shaped Alfa Romeo Carabo concept and the late-’60s obsession with gullwing doors, low noses, and spaceship proportions. The Aztec 7 might have been assembled with more Budweiser and less Bertone, but it makes an interesting car for your Friday night cruise.
