Boxing Day: 2001 Porsche Boxster S

Boxing day is not a celebration of Rocky Marciano…no…not quite. Boxing day is the second day of Christmastide and was traditionally a day when poor people where given gifts, but it is now been co-oped by big business as a shopping day where poor people give their money to rich people for cheap trinkets. At Daily Turismo we celebrate Boxing Day by featuring engines with the flat-boxer piston configuration…and we do it the day after the actual Boxing Day. Find this 2001 Porsche Boxster offered for $9000 in Hayward, CA via ebay. Tip from Hugh.

Ah, I see it has the very rare v6 option!
Nice find, might be a ton of fun!
TTT
The price is in the S with a dead engine LS swap candidate range and it looks pretty nice to me.
It would confuse folks in NYC with that paint.
The Annoying Ads managed to pull up a picture of a wristwatch in exactly the same color. Unfortunately, when I logged in, it went away.
My first reaction to the wheels was “I wouldn’t have put an ugly set of cheap aftermarket wheels on a Porsche.” Then I realized they’re apparently the factory originals.
You kidding? Those two pieces are some of the better 986 wheels IMHO. Look even better on a 996.

Which is it? I have syntax whiplash. Anyone know if the ims bearing is a problem in this year? As an exiled former New Orleanian I would worry about rust from the humidity etcetera
I’ve owned a 2000 986 Boxster S for 3 years now, and allow me to say this.
There is NO better performance-per-dollar quotient that I am aware of.
FULL STOP.
I love this fucking car.
