When you need a car and have less than $500 to spend, you are going to end up scraping the bottom of the barrel — but you will find some craigslist gold in the crusty stuff lurking down there.  Just be sure to have your trailer at the ready and be sure to look for the good ones that ran when they were last parked.  Like this 1989 Chrysler New Yorker offered for $400 in Vallejo, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Kaibeezy.

The craigslist ad starts with a title of “Please come get car outta here” and then continues with an unpunctuated stream of conscious that ends mid sentence just when it is getting good — “what it needs is map sensor that’s it from what the codes say so ya”
