Body by Zagato: 1960 Fiat-Abarth 750

The Fiat-Abarth 750 was a series of sports cars built in the 1950s/60s by Abarth using Fiat mechanical parts. Today’s stunner is the Zagato-bodied version that combines the best Fiat 600 engine with a Gioacchino Colombo designed twin-cam head to push 42 horsepower from the 747cc inline-4. Not exactly a Mulsanne straight speed machine, but these were competitive in sub-750cc racing classes. Find this 1960 Fiat-Abarth 750 offered for $21,500 in Los Angeles, CA via facebarth markzagato.

Scam scam scam scam (think Monty Python). Lifted the photos from BaT
It’s fascinating that it bid $65,000 on BaT without making reserve. Perhaps the scammer thinks the potential buyers of rare, tiny Italian race cars are more gullible or less likely to do any due diligence.
Good catch on your part!
The same “seller” also is offering a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette for $21,300, a 2007 Peterbilt 379 Camper for $26,400, and a 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible for $18,400.
All have the same “ Clean title , Excellent condition, no rust, no dents, no accidents. No accidents!!! Runs and rides great with no issues ! Always kept it in garage!” description.
In the case of that Peterbilt, it must’ve been quite a garage.
He’s got quite an astonishing stable of classic … everything. What a louse.
Looked at a few other of “his” cars and decided to see what happens if I call it a scam.Very easy to flag the ad with various options of what the ad violated; got a message right away that it will be reviewed. Day later and message was that it did not violate their Community Standards. No actual way to provide information demonstrating the scam. Just for fun, I hit the review again button.
