Blown GM V6: 1971 Datsun 510

The Datsun 510 is one of those classics that needs little introduction — it combines simple Japanese styling with a rugged chassis and rock-solid Nissan 4-cylinder power…but it could use a few more cubes hood. This next one has been given some more cubes with a GM V6 swap and some more ZOOM-ZOOM with a supercharged. Find this 1971 Datsun 510 offered for $10,000 in Oak Harbor, WA via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.

I have 1971 2 door Datsun 510 in sunset Orange. Clean Title in hand. GM L67 3800 series II supercharged V6 with a 9LB pulley, Camaro T-5 Transmission, tuned for 300hp and 340ft lbs of torque. Daily driven have around 6k on the swap. Car is caged and has a custom dash with auto meter guages. Full Techno Toy/QA1 suspension Hiyashi Techno R wheels with new tires. Subi VLSD rear. To much to list. Car is not perfect has dings like I said it has been daily driven for the last five years. Very reliable. Only trades I’d be interested in are for a vehicle that seats 7, Prefer All or 4wd and be worth about the same or cash on top or a pull behind toy hauler.

See a better way to drive super? tips@dailyturismo.com
This is SO bad ass. I would think that the small cosmetic issues with the body would be done (considering the $10k price) but still cool ride. Talk about power-to-weight!
Power to weight is great – but the torque to weight is gonna be tire shredding tastic!!
Still miss my 69 Nickle Dime with the L-16 very reliable fun car and a great snow car was my dailey driver for years.
Shit.. I think I'm going to buy this!
