The Subaru WRX was a suped up version of the standard base Subaru Impreza — the WRX added a turbocharger and some fun sometime in the 2001 model year. In 2005 Saab got into the all-wheel-drive fun game and launched the 9-2X which was available in WRX-turbo Aero version and in the basic non-turbo Linear model. This next car is the slow and steady non-turbo and slushbox equipped Linear, but the asking price is almost scrap value low. Find this 2006 Saab 9-2X Linear offered for $1800 in Maynard, MA via saabnet.com. Tip from BarbPaddles.

We love our Saabaru (called Ruby) but the current situation and job uncertainty, means I have to cut back + I commute into Boston anyway. See the DrivingLine article about the Saabaru: Click Here. Mine has a good documented service history. Very Clean. Leather interior. Sun roof (tilt and slide). Electric windows and doors. Good heat/ac. Very little rust. Regular oil changes etc, etc…
Clearcoat is peeling on back but not bad. When I bought it it had been a CC (cambridge commuter) so had its share on dings and dents. The rear bumper was cracked, which I repaired and it has held up very well. The heat/cool controls are a bit touchy but AC/Heat work great. Important Service history (documented): Brakes 142,000 5/7/2020 Brakes/Ball joint 116,330 8/30/2016. Brake service 109,600 1/6/2016. Timing belt, water pump at 107,229 10/5/2016. Alternator Battery at 104,875 6/16/2015.
