The original BMW M5 was released in 1986 as an obsidian autobahn cruiser and it only got better with age. The next generation also featured another hot inline-6, but it wasn’t until the 1999 release of the E39 generation M5 that it got an appropriately menacing V8 to tear up the streets. This next example comes from a Sean S. Find this 2000 BMW M5 offered for $5,600 in Malibu, CA via craigslist.

Selling my BMW M5 – E39 LeMans Blue, Black and Grey interior. The car is a 6 speed manual, very fast, it has custom fabricated Stainless Steel 3″ Exhaust, very unique sounding car in the e39 class.
Sound was converted to double DIN head unit, currently Alpine touchscreen, JL audio interior, 2 RF 10″ in tuned box in the boot – total 950+Watts…Now ultimate sound machine, very clean.
Garage kept most of its life, and miles are highway miles. Fanatically kept, never wrecked and just received tuneup of all Fluids, Plugs, Gaskets, Sensors, Bushings, Tires, Driveshaft & Wheel Bearings, Pressure Lines, Guibo and Clutch+repacked Differential. Runs great, NEVER tracked or abused.
Will relinquish all special tools, including a GT1 head unit, programs, spare parts, and shop manuals for this car.
