Baja Woodie: 1987 Buick Electra Wagon

This next car is just in time for Halloween. It isn’t your typical horrorod, but in the theme of Halloween, we’ve got a Buick wagon wearing an off-road costume. I like it! Find this 1987 Buick Electra Wagon bidding for $4250 reserve-not-met with 2 days to go, located in Grinnell, IA via eBay.

From the seller:
Up for auction here is a one of a kind lifted woody wagon! This thing is a blast to drive, purely just for the attention it receives. I get people that stop by the shop just to take pictures of it. I’ll be honest right away and tell you this is not a super nice wagon. If you want a really nice wagon I have an 1988 Oldsmobile on ebay currently that is in excellent condition. I picked the Buick up cheap and decided to just have some fun with it. It runs and drives fine and has always started for me with no issues. It drives great around town but out on the highway you need to be paying attention. I’ve driven it plenty on the highway with no issues but you can tell it’s lifted with big tires. If you have ever driven a Jeep with death wobble it resembles that. It’s not near as bad as some of the Jeep’s I’ve had. I just wanted to be perfectly honest. It’s fine on the backroad highways around here but probably wouldn’t recommend blasting down the interstate at 80mph with it or taking it across country.

The lift consists of 3″ coil spacers and new shocks. It’s a legit lift made specifically for these cars. The wheels and tires are from a Jeep Wrangler and have plenty of tread left. It’s running 1″ wheel adapters to make them work. I also have the stock wheels and tires that come with it. The body does have some patina but also has some rust. It’s nothing major but I do want to make it known. The frame is solid and structurally the rust on the body does not affect anything. The interior is all there but it does show some wear. Mostly everything works on it. The cruise, ac and wipers don’t work but I’ve never needed them to worry about figuring it out. The only reason why I bought and built this car was to just simply make people smile. It get’s tons of attention every time it’s out. I never did spend a whole lot of time making this car perfect and getting everything to work. If someone wanted to spend some time on it you could make it nice driving car. There is a link below you can copy and paste to view a video of it running. If you have any questions at all you can call or text me at 64one99zero141seven. Thanks for checking out the listing and have a great day!

Looks fun, but it might need more lift to do much off road unless you don’t mind hearing tires scrubbing fenders.
