Per the seller: 1996 Formula Classic racing car, this car has an unbelievable spec, and would cost circa £100k to build today. It was dreampt up by a consortium of enthusiasts to race as a one make race series back in 1996 in the style of a 1950’s formula 1 car, but due to disagreements amongst the entrants never got off the ground the project was moth balled and all the cars were put in storage. We have just acquired 18 of the cars with a view to selling them on an individual basis or as a complete package, it would be great to see them on the track again. These cars have only been run for 3 to 4 hours each and as a result the condition is excellent. Something different on the track day scene?

Now I know why the project failed — they couldn’t find anyone willing to risk a missed shift that would end in a blunt trauma vasectomy. 

Engine
Millington Diamond Series 1 alloy block 2.5 litre with Cosworth YB head, twin 50 weber Carbs, dry sump kit, setrab oil coiler, Facet fuel pump prodcuing around 280BHP. New price of this engine today would be around £20k plus VAT. Again only doen 3 to 4 hours use.
