I've seen this on eBay for months. The seller was previously asking for about $11K or so, and I suppose it's becoming abundantly clear that such an ask is untenable. Feedback does not paint a very good picture, either. And is it just me or does it seem to sit too high? That gap above the wheels seems a bit much. Love the seats though.
The problem is this: to pay ANYTHING for this car you TRULY have to love what it was, or place a significant bet on its future collectibility.
Because they weren't anything special, even with the 'Twin Dual Cam' V6 that GM spun up trying to compete with the SHO.
It's reasonably attractive, and it's got a few HP, but the chassis ain't all that, the seats are good but the interior is period GM gray-button, and slushbox or five-speed you've still got one-wheel peel.
If you're in love, sure, you buy it and spend $2500 putting a Quaife in the transaxle and the end result is drivable.
If you're looking for a driver, an E39 530i is going to be an infinitely nicer car in every regard.
If you have to have something unique and GM spend the $6K on a first-gen CTS-V.
