I was so stoked on this thing until I saw that plastic T sticking up in the console.
Alpina, cool cars terrible names. B10 3.5/1, really?
If you don't mind black cars, and you're in the Frozen Tundra or don't mind getting it into the US, it could be a decent project car. Manual-transmission swap entirely practical.

This car is in my city. I would be scared of any car from my city.
There's a reason a lot of manufacturers do testing here; the sand, salt, and melting and freezing absolutely destroys roads and cars and then those destroyed roads end up destroying car's suspensions.
For instance, a buddy at work told me he hit a pothole so viciously that it turned on his wipers from the inertia.
I'd be really concerned about this cars rust and suspension.
A rusty tub would torpedo the whole thing, but the rest…well, there's lots of junkyard E34s these days.
I can attest to Richard's descriptions of the Winnipeg roads. The narrow lanes don't help either as you have no wiggle room and what's up with those pushbutton traffic stoppers that make drivers stop instantaneously for pedestrians. I guess maybe Canadians are more responsible, but if I was kid I would push those and run every other hour.
I did see some nice cars up there despite the quality of the roadways.
I would love one of those cars, I do love an I6, but all the warning bells are going off in my head! When there is no clear carfax, the seller is not in the same city and I have to pick it up at a storage facility, the owner has a long written complicated story like a novel, the pix are 2 years old and the listed phone number is for a friend! Is it just me or have I seen too many bogus e-Bay adds? Yes, suspensions and car bodies take a toll in Mantitoba. Bottom line: I don't like 3-speed automatics and I like to see a car before purchase, especially a potential "project" – George in Toronto
