Vehicle Description I am listing this OUT-OF-THE-BOX 1977 Porsche 911 Professionally Built ZZ3 350 Conversion for a friend of mine. He’s a retired doctor who has owned the car for the past 22 years. The conversion was done about 10 years ago costing over 80K to make it look the way it is now – engine has less than 10K miles on it. Most of the work was done by Frank Eibell Porsche here in St Pete and it’s important to note that all work performed on this 911 was of the high-end caliber. Frank’s phone number can be provided upon request. I personally drove this ride around town and on the highway and it’s unbelievable, VERY fast, powerful and tight all around. Also, people look with amazement everywhere I went – it’s a real head-turner! Below are few key points about this vehicle:
* Professionally Built & Balanced Blue Printed ZZ3 Chevy 350 Crate Engine
* 1977 Porsche Body Ground-Up Build
* 92 C-3 Body Kit
* 1987 Porsche Turbo Transmission
* Spec Roll-Cage
* Pro-Comp Ultra Lite Gauges
* Toyo Tires
* And much more!
With the iron block 350ci mill living well behind the rear axles this car might be the dictionary entry for "high polar moment of inertia" and "don't lift". I could live with those characteristics but that pleated interior, that body kit … are a poke in the eye.
I agree. It could have been so well done but the seats, gauges, and wheels scream that it was done in poor taste or on a small budget.
Speedometer in the middle and tach by the shifter? So you base your shifts on speed rather than revs? I am so confused. Its like someone did this but had never driven a performance car before. All the parts are there but in the wrong order.
I love Porsches but this thing is an abbortion, I hate the colour outside and the interior, white dials and poor location, and it is a Targa roof. It would have been a much nicer car if it had the 1973 RS look. That heavy V8 is also the wrong one!
And it sold for $23,100. Again proving some people will pay anything to be in on a fad.
Nasty car. The doctor who paid $80K for this should have quit the Oxycontin sooner. POS-CHE
