I
have a completely redone 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Show Car.
Everything was done by Poor Lee Customs (Lee Conover) 3 years ago:
-New Sheet Metal in previously rusted spots
-Rebuilt Engine
-Rebuilt Transmission (manual)
-New Brakes
-New Tires
-New Fiberglass pans over originals
-Custom Interior (white and hawaiian theme)
-Hand Carved Tiki Shifter
-Air Ride System (single 3500 up front and dual 2500 in rear – can 3-wheel)
-Custom Gold Flake paint (see pics and video)
-Custom Fish Scale paint on roof
-Custom Pin-striping on rear engine cover (by Doctor D)
-New Headlights
-New Battery
All windows and trim come with the car; just not installed currently for the “look”. Always garaged.
Car
starts and drives every time. Just had distributor timing adjusted.
Car can lay frame and 3-wheel. Car does have two dime-sized chips in
front under frame from coming off the trailer (see pics). Also, the
right rear wheel squeaks a little (mechanic said its the brake rubbing).
