As Seen On TV: 1961 Volvo PV544

This next feature is interesting because it is one of those ancient Volvos that were carved from granite and powered by perpetual motion machines, but it is featured here because buying it will give you a chance to be on TV. You will need to buy this thing in Leicestershire, East Midlands, UK – and a condition of sale is that you appear on camera and buy it from Ant Anstead (the guy who replaced Edd China on Wheel Dealers and was married to the house-fipper plastic-Barbie lady for a bit.) Anyway, if you want to be on TV and like old Volvos and live in the UK…this is cool. Offered for sale is this 1961 Volvo PV544.

The following works have just been completed:

  • New upgraded alternator
  • New engine mountings
  • New Panhard rod
  • Rally specification needle upgrade to SU carburettors, along with new trumpets
  • Front seats recovered with original specification covers
  • New kick panels in footwell
  • Rally spot lamps
  • Rally decals added to door
  • Full service and MOT
