$17,000.00 will buy a lot more car than that!
I could see this in a museum. Or, in a great garage.
As long as it was sitting, and not actually moving.
It's a beautiful, rare beast. Ogle-worthy.
People could sit in it, and make "vroom vroom" noises.
I've had cars like this: For looking at, and not driving.
Heck, I've got one now. I still love it.
-Stan (who doesn't always drive his favorite cars. Sometimes, I just sit and look at 'em…)
What? Is that the little peoples version of a Maserati?
You really missed the listing without this picture:

Agreed.
When I see this photo, all my teenage fantasies of having that cute girl with the short skirt in science class sit in the middle front seat (as I shift into fourth gear) come flooding back…
I shall refrain from posting an inappropriately appropriate video…
-Stan (who is still thinking about that girl in the short skirt, after all these years…)
the tech that used to show the actual video in place of a video link in a posted comment has been fubar for a while, so it will just show as a link – i'm sure i speak for absolutely no one around here when i say: i wonder if anonymous might know what link Stan had in mind?
odd coincidence, just as this Bagheera was posted, i was reading an article about the Renault Avantime, body by Matra – a concept-car made real, only produced for two years and such a sales disaster it actually brought Matra down, ending the company – ironically, the Avantime has had a resurgence of interest in the last year, popping up on lists of cheap future classics to buy now, prices rising sharply at auction, all that

Thanks, kaibeezy. I'd never seen this car. Some really interesting design elements. And such low production, you're pretty much guaranteed not to see another at your local Cars n Coffee.
A pretty decent RHD model for sale in Barnsley, England right now, for about $3,000 US:
RHD Renault Avantime
-Stan (who has really enjoyed reading about the specially engineered double-hinged door, the back seat with no leg room (but great visibility) and the slide-back top that makes this quasi-minivan w/only 4 seats feel like a convertible).
You don't see 3+0 seating often. Kinda looks like the front of a Sonnet and the rear of an Alfa GTV6.
Yeah, I would like to see three Russian Olympic weight lifters cruising in this
