America’s Step Cousin: 1987 Pontiac Fiero

Happy 4th of July to everyone out there in cyberspace — we are dedicating today to freedom and the less known Articles of the Constitution. Article 3, Section 4 of the constitution is the little know “Supreme Law of Fiero” which states; The Fiero shall have the Power of a Duke of Iron but the customized exterior shall look like an Isuzu mixed with a Lamborhini and the righteousness of this horseless carriage shall not be diminished nor committed at any such Place or Places as set forth within these Articles. Amen. The exact meaning of this article might have been a mystery to all mighty scholars until the 1983 release of the Fiero, but prophesy doesn’t play second piccolo to just anybody. Find this 1987 Pontiac Fiero offered for $19,855 in Laurel, MD via cars.com. Tip from Cory.

Hot damn, I dig this… from the outside. The inside is awful. I wish it had the Celica interior and Celica engine to go with those Celica tail lights. Then you’d really have something… Japanese. Oops, sorry.
This is the best looking Fiero rebody I can remember seeing.
It’s not a copy of anything in particular that I can think of.
Was just about to comment the same! At a glance, I note a vaguely Franco Sbarro flavor to the styling.
has some Jaguar cues to it. Squint without glasses and you can almost see a X220
Hugh, I’m seeing a Detomaso Pantera that melted, just a little.
-Stan (the *other* Stan…)
PS And I agree with you. It’s a beautiful rebody… except for the tail lights and the wackadoo interior…
