Airplane Style: 1979 Piper Tomahawk

Simpson fans will remember Homer’s famous car, which was infamously known as “The Homer“. It might have been a total flop, but it was a marvelous combination of airplane style bubble dome, huge engine that makes people think the world is coming to an end, and a giant sized cup holder. Today we’ve got a car that adds a touch of pedestrian terror to the Homer-mobile with an inexplicably exposed limb chopping fan mounted in a place that will be extremely difficult to pass EU pedestrian crash standards. Find this 1979 Piper Tomahawk offered for $22,000 via faceplant landingplace. Tip from alostdawg.

Do airplanes need AC? I know that commercial airplanes have APUs to run conditioned air into the cabin…but what about the average Piper Cub or light single engine prop plane? AC? Heater? It gets cold at altitude, but it would also be miserable to try and do an on-runway checklist in 110 degree Texas heat…so they MUST have AC.
Most small aircraft have vents to pull in cool air after they get in the air and they’re heated by the engine like a car. You don’t want to spend a lot of time waiting to take off in the Texas summer. Dad’s an aircraft mechanic and works on small planes. That’s what he said when I asked.
