A Nova By Any Other Name: 1974 Pontiac Ventura

The Ventura name was first used by Pontiac as a higher priced version of their 1960 full sized Catalina, but with the release of the Grand Prix, the name was relegated to a trim option for 1962 through 1965. However, in 1971 the Ventura was given new life on GM’s compact rear-drive X-platform shared with the Chevrolet Nova, Oldsmobile Omega, and Buick Apollo. Today’s Ventura has the desirable 350 cubic inch V8 mated to a 3-speed manual, which makes this car a great candidate for a clone of the famous 1974 model year only X-body GTO. Or you could just fix the rust and enjoy this classic. Find this 1974 Pontiac Ventura offered for $6,500 in Saginaw, MI via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!
