6-Speed V8: 2005 Cadillac CTS-V

Cadillac launched their CTS-V sport sedan in 2004 with a manual gearbox and firebreathing V8 that was nothing short of awesome.  The standard CTS sedan was focused on stealing sales from cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class or BMW 3/5 series..but the V-version was aimed at stealing sales from BWM’s M division and Mercedes-Benz AMG division…and those German sedans are wicked and fast…but seriously complicated and used engines built like time bombs…but the Cadillac used a pushrod V8 from the Corvette that was simple to fix…and I think the CTS-V is the choice for the cheap driver. Find this 2005 Cadillac CTS-V offered for $8,500 in New York via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Selling my 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. Lost my job about 2 weeks after buying the car and I have another one so this has to go.

Clean carfax. Runs great. Just did a full service. New belts, driveshaft center support bearing, all new brakes pads/rotors/fluids, oil &filter change. Car needs nothing mechanically, spent $2-3k for all the recent service including the new(er) tires on it.

Car has upgraded Bose speakers and aftermarket sub in the rear deck (not in the trunk) so it doesn’t take up room. Otherwise it has a cat back exhaust. The remainder is stock. The car sounds great.

Stealth grey on natural beige. So it has half leather half suede. Interior is in great shape.

Car has around 420hp coming from the LS6. Plenty of power to get around.

Rear bumper and driver door need some body work. I could always handle this as part of the sale (on your expense) but prefer to sell as-is. I attached a photo of the door so you can assess the damage for yourself. A little body work and repaint/blend the door and it’ll be good as new. The rear bumper is normal wear for a car this age.

This is a fun car, I drove it around 80 miles since the service and it drives great, sounds great and is a great car for the money.

See a better way to drive something with a veeeeeee ate!!?!?!?  tips@dailyturismo.com
