6-Speed Front Drive: 2005 Acura TL

Honda might not have produced the world’s first front-wheel-drive car (that is arguably the 1989 Victoria Combination by Société Parisienne) or even the most successful front-wheel-drive seller (that’d be the Toyota Camry) or the fastest front-wheel-drive racecar (that’d be the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo) but they did build the best front drive sport compact sedans of the 1990s starting with the surprisingly fast Honda Predule, followed by the Acura Integra, then the RSX, and finally what you see here…which is a 6-speed manual equipped Acura TL. Find this 2005 Acura TL offered for $5,490 in Winnetka, CA via craigslist.

I think you mean 1889?
For me personally, condition and total mileage is more important in a late model sedan like this than having a 6-speed manual to play with, so I’d pass.
For that price I think I could find another Acura or Honda V6 with fewer miles and less damage and be ok with an automatic. I don’t think the manual brings much to the party here.
I had a 2007 TL Type-S with the 6 speed – boy was that a nice car.
Slow, but man was it awesome to daily!
Saab might like to argue with you about that “best front drive sport compact sedans of the 1990s” status, but the 900/9-3 wasn’t that compact and the 900/9-5 was large, and also, yeah, maybe you’re right overall.
