5k: Generally Awesome: 1993 Nissan Sentra Gen Lee Tribute

The iconic orange paint with the number 01 on the side is normally reserved for the countless Dodge Chargers that are built as homage to the Dukes of Hazzard, but sometimes a Dukes fan can’t afford the high prices demanded for Chargers these days.  Perhaps the Dukes fan only has an old Nissan Sentra sitting around and a few buckets of orange paint….this is what happens.  Find this 1993 Nissan Sentra Gen Lee Tribute for sale in Houston, TX for $4,900 via craigslist.

The best kind of General Lee tribute is one built on a Japanese car and with a printed image of a big V8 on top of the hood.  Under the hood is a different story…

Powering this Nissan Sentra is a 2.0 liter 16V twin cam SR20DE inline-4 that would have been good for 150 horsepower when new, but now with turbocharger and unknown internal modifications it could make anywhere from 200 to 300 horsepower.

This orange racer is fully caged and fitted with racing seats so you won’t be picking the kids up from daycare, but it will make for a few weekend racer.
