57 Chevy Belaro: 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Kit Car

The Machiavelli Max post the other day was one of the better looking fake Ferrari kit cars I’ve seen recently — despite its plebian TransAm roots, it looks like a Ferrari to a casual observer. This next kit car…it is interesting, but I don’t think that anybody is going to be fooled into thinking it is a ’57 Chevy. Similar to the Machiavelli, the Belaro also uses a GM F-Body for the mechanical parts, but this time a Camaro. And yes, we’ve seen one of these before. Find this 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Kit Car offered for $19,750 in Ft Lauderdale, FL via eBay.

you want a glass of King Car whisky from Taiwan? i have that!
O… K
SO MUCH SHOUTING IT KNOCKED DOWN THE WINDSHIELD…!!!
got the fuel filler in historically accurate location, didn’t they?
Steven King Edition
With the windshield laid back like that, it looks more like a late fifties MOPAR.
I kinda like it.
It’s weird, yet kitschy.
Misshapen, yet chromy.
It looks like something a cartoonist in the 60s would have drawn. And that’s a sincere compliment.
I mean… how many of us have driven something that looks like it came straight out of the pages of a classic comic book?
I’m completely serious.
Two thumbs up.
