The Ford Fairlane was an intermediate sized unibody classic from Detroit, and these big monsters can be quite a deal when compared to a Chevelle or other muscle car from the sixties. The fifth generation with its stacked headlights is one of the best looking of the breed and was made only from 1966 to 1967. Find this 1966 Ford Fairlane bidding for $8,200 reserve-not-met with 5 days to go, located in Houston, TX via ebay.

1966 Ford Fairlane GT

This 1966 Ford Fairlane GT is a modified example with a mostly factory look masking a 550-horsepower tri-powered 406ci V8 and five-speed transmission. The fifth-generation Fairlane was new for 1966 and larger than previous iterations. Refinished in black on black, this one exhibits a high shine overall with some nicks and edge chipping but few other notable flaws. Panel fit appears good and the car shows no outward indications of accident damage. Both front floor pans were replaced during the rebuild, and external signs of corrosion appear neglible in photos. Factory badging remains including “390” emblems on the hood, which was modified from underneath to accept the taller engine block and induction setup in lieu of a scoop.
