4CV Dauphine R8 R10 Caravelle LeCar Alliance: A Collection of French Cars
Collecting orphan oddball cars usually starts with honest intentions. Perhaps someone gives you a neglected classic and you mean to restore it and sell…but then you get 2 or 3 more…and the next thing you know is that you are the neighborhood cat lady for neglected French cars. Find this Collection of French cars offered whole or parts located in Denver, CO via craigslist. Tip from Zach Z.
Although listed in the “auto parts- general – by owner” section of craigslist, it is hard to tell if this guy is a professional dismantler or just a low budget collector with a yard fenced in by tractor trailers. In the pictures you can see a Caravelle, Alliance, R8, R5, LeCar and he mentions that he has several Fiat 850s, a 4CV
The one car that looks ready to drive is this 80s Renault Alliance convertible– the subcompact oddball that was the product of the unholy alliance between Renault and American Motors Corp. Of course it is parked in front of a “no parking” sign, so it probably moves under its own power…something that can’t be said for the cars mounted on casters located inside the seller’s “shop.”

First, you talk about amassing neglected French cars as if that is a bad thing. All I can say is "au contraire"!
Hard to tell from the few photos, but many of the cars in this collection ("amass-ment?) look pretty good. Sitting on four wheels, with glass in place, no obvious gaping cancerous holes in the sheet metal. Personally, if I was close, I certainly would drop by to see if any of these lost puppies qualified for a "forever home".
Looks like he's also got you covered if you need a giant front gate or impressive mantlepiece for your 19th century estate….
