#345 or 400: 2009 Dodge Charger Daytona

The original Dodge Charger Daytona was a giant wing equipped monster that dominated the NASCAR tracks in the 1969 and 1970 race seasons. The 2006 reboot of the legendary Daytona name was an exercise in marketing nostalgia to take money out of the pockets of aging baby boomers, but most of the people who purchased them decided to cut their annual Tommy Bahama shirt budget and instead upgrade to the (mostly cosmetic) Daytona package. I write mostly cosmetic because the package did include some specific suspension tuning and 10 more horsepower in the 5.7 HEMI V8, but most of the Daytona magic is in a bunch of stickers and appliqués. The production was limited to 400 in the “Stone White” color for the 2009 model year, so as far as Daytonas go, this one is rare (but don’t be fooled because Dodge built more than 15000 Daytonas from 2006-2008). Find this 2009 Dodge Charger Daytona offered for $16,500 in Tucson, AZ via craigslist.
