1k: Sad Shoeless Man Sells His 1991 Nissan Stanza

Sometimes a picture says a thousand words and other times it asks a thousand questions…this is one of the latter times. This 1991 Nissan Stanza XE is offered for $1,600 in Lancaster, CA via craigslist by a shoeless dude who stares forlornly at his soon to be ex-car.

Dressed in a matching white, his shoulders are hunched in a defeated pose as he wonders how he will open the drivers door that doesn’t unlock with his key.  The car is described as “amazing” and in the next sentence the seller admits, amazingly enough, that it has non functioning A/C and a dead battery.

The U12 series Nissan Stanza was actually part of the Datsun Bluebird lineup.  Previous Stanza badged cars were part of the compact Violet platform, but the 1989-1992 US market Stanza was a Bluebird descended from the legendary Datsun 510. It was now a front drive KA24 powered economy car, but it is certainly a better car than the Altima that replaced it, and with the 5-speed manual might be fun to drive.
