1k: Ran When Borked: 2004 Porsche 911 Speedster Custom

What, another Porsche?  C’mon guys, enough of these overpriced prick-mobiles!   Now just hang on a minute — this isn’t a $150k Porsche 930 in driver condition, this is a Porsche 996 custom speedster offered for less than a 3 day stay at the Ritz Carlton.  This is the real deal.  It is such a good deal that I waited until the auction has ended and saved you the $2650 that someone else paid to pickup this 2004 Porsche 911 Speedster offered here on eBay.

The 996 generation of 911 was introduced in 1999 with much complaining from purists who lamented the additional weight and change to watercooling in the rear mounted flat-6.  This custom has had all water removed from the cooling system (oil too!) and is 100% air cooled.   Even the driver and his vertically challenged passengers will be air cooled.  How cool is that?  Dawg, this car is grounded to the ground.  Ground beef!!

I know you are going to say that you don’t like the 996 because of its “fried egg” headlight styling — but the builders of this custom have totally removed the offending headlights.   Its also been given a sleek windshield rake and a radical chop by the guys at Semi Truck Undercarriage Kustoms.  You say you like custom paint?  How about a flat black Porsche?

The seller was nice enough to put it on his lift (fork) and snap some pictures of the undercarriage.  Checkout that lightweight oil pan. It is baffling that no one has ever used this idea to fix oil sloshing issues in the past. It has also been given a custom rear alignment to help with those tricky right turns.
