1k: Mowed The Lawn, Found A Car: 1958 Simca Aronde Grand
Have you ever had the experience of finding a car when you least expected it? Like the time you were pruning back the overgrown cannabis crop in your front yard and suddenly you stumble upon a Simca? Oh…that has never happened to you? Just this guy — find his 1958 Simca Aronde Grand offered for $1200 in Pipestone, MN.
I’m fairly certain that it’s legal in Minnesota now…owning a Simca that is. Simca is an abreviation for Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile (Mechanical and Automotive Body Manufacturing Company) and were sold at Chrysler and Plymouth dealerships in North America. Power for the Aronde (which was Simca’s first in-house design) comes from a 1.3 liter engine named Flash that put out 45 horsepower.

Well, I never knew that "Simca" stood for something. I'll slip that gem into the next French Car Club meeting I attend. Thanks DT!

I like it. Drive wheels are at the right end.
Anyone make a bellhousing to put a T5 behind one of the late-model Chrysler 3.5 V6s, or at least got a dimensioned DXF of the V6 bell pattern? That'd be just about perfect…
