1990 Dodge Ramcharger 4X4

This next car comes as a tip from Dave in Tampa who writes: Now that gas is blindlingly expensive, I want one of these. Yeah. There is nothing like ludicrously expensive gasoline to make you want to drive cars that weigh a metric ton and suck fuel like there is no tomorrow. Find this 1990 Dodge Ramcharger 4X4 offered for $13,000 in Tampa Bay, FL via craigslist.

From the seller:

Great running 1990 original ramcharger. 5.9l 360 v8 engine. The a/c works great. 162k on dash but stopped working a few years ago. Truck does not get driven much. Must see to appreciate.I’m located in St.Petersburg Florida. Clean title in hand

Save people the lookup. 10 city, 12 highway. Yikes.
I think 10mpg would be on a good day. That’s an 8 car with a bunch of miles on the odometer and ethanol mixed junk they sell these days.
With the appreciation($) of the same generation of Broncos you would probably come out ahead with a little cleaning up and a year or two of ownership. and yeah I see sub-10 mpg in real world.
If this was my Ramcharger I’d keep a pneumatic cattle bolt on the passenger seat and get a plate that reads “Chigurh”.

That’s two and a half metric tons actually.
