15k Mile Ragtop: 1992 Chevrolet Corvette C4 Convertible
There is something about an older car that is free from dirt/grime that just makes me happy…and it probably has something to due with the fact that most of my classics have been well used and abused. This next car is shockingly clean on the underside for a 27 year old car and has about 500 miles per year on the odo…and the price is great? What’s the catch? Oh, its a C4 Corvette…which I’m sorta starting to like these days…am I getting old? Find this 1992 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible offered for $12,950 in Omaha, NE via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

1992 Corvette Convertible. Black Rose Metallic. Only 15,300 miles! All original Colorado car. The car was judged 2nd in C-4 class at all Corvette show this spring. Leather power seats. The interior is almost perfect. The exterior has a few rock chips. It has a mint owners manual, USA-1 license plate holder, foam battery insulator. The top does need to be replaced. A Robbins brand OEM top comes with the car and also new top weather stripping. The rest of the weather stripping is excellent. Has selective ride control, soft ride suspension, performance axle ratio, Delco/Bose CD/ Tape radio, low tire pressure warning, 124 amp alternator,. I have the window sticker, build sheet, dealer brochure from the Corvette Museum and the shop manuals. Has been serviced. Clean title and Car Fax. The car has the original tires(great for NCRS), but will need new tires for a daily driver. $12,950 obo. I will take off the cost of the top if you want to get 1 with a glass window. CASH only, NO trades. I Don’t need help selling it. Thanks for looking!

Bang for the buck doesn't get much better than this.
Suspension components don't look like there 17 years old. Should be a lot of fun for the next owner.
Yes. You are getting old.
But so am I. I love this thing. Y’all watch: these will come around as THE throwback old school Dino-juice rides in 30 years when we are surrounded by electron-powered covered couches.
What was the “performance axle ratio” and was there any substantive difference in said performance vs. the standard ratio?
Stick came with a 3.45 rear diff, whereas the autos were 2.59. I think the "performance" ratio for the auto was a 3.07
