15k: 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8

When mobsters need a car they always look for something 4-door, large trunk, black on black, big engine, slushbox auto (easier to shoot at other mobsters when driving if your not trying to shift) – and this 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 fits the bill.  Its even already been stolen (probably by mobsters) and recovered by the police and is now offered for $15900 in Huntington Valley, PA via ebay.

Daimler-Chrysler introduced its ‘new’ 300C in 2005 model year with mean ‘born in Detroit’ styling, a variety of V6 and V8s, covered in chrome and all mated to slushbox automatic transmissions (yes, this violates the dailyturismo requirement for stick shift cars – but honestly we are afraid the current owners of this car will throw us in the bottom of a lake if we don’t give it a good review).

Under the hood a 6.1 liter “Hemi’ V8 cranks out an impressive 425 horsepower and a stump pulling 420 ft-lbs of torque.  The hemi name is a bit less of a description of combusion chamber shape and more of a marketing tool, but there is no arguing with the performance it gives to this 4160 lb piece of iron.

The interior of this SRT8 looks to be free of bloodstains and only limited wear/tear.  The supportive seats will be comfortable for any long night stakeouts and hold you in place while doing tire shredding burnouts.

Dual exhaust tips at the back complete the menacing look and allow the drivers to hear a nice burble at idle.  Blacked out trim on this particular model is a plus.  Bottom line – do you need street cred: buy this car, its easier than becoming a cat burglar.
