10k: Power of Pride: 1972 Chevrolet Step Van
We ran a number of features on the 4th of July focusing on cool American themed rides, but nothing as big as a step van covered in the red-white-&-blue was found at the time. Well, surely it is 4th of July somewhere, so enjoy this Independence from Boring step van! This 1972 Chevrolet Van is for sale in SF Bay Area, CA for $8,500 via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
Not sure there is much we can write about a commercial van covered in Old Glory, but this Step Van is advertised as “PERFECT FOR FOOD TRUCK,” not exactly true considering it doesn’t have open sides, a food cooking setup or anything that would be needed for food preparation. Perfect for hauling fireworks, corn or apple pie, but this isn’t a food truck.
A simple drivers seat and accompanying manual shifter will have singing star spangled banner whatever you do with this thing.

It would probably take $25k to get this thing resembling a kitchen on wheels. But hey you would have a great theme to sell some as american as apple pies or whatever american standards foods. Food trucks are rare in the eastern blok of Canada so I dont know any good themes.
