10k Flash: Fair Price, Nice Lady: 1969 Datsun 2000, 150hp Mikuni/Solex
The Datsun 2000 (known in Japan as the Fairlady) was a small roadster from Nissan that really came into its own in the 6th version, the SR311. It was quite quick for the day, equipped with a 2.0 liter SOHC engine mated to a 5 speed transmission. It wasn’t surprising that it continued to win C & D Prod SCCA championships even after it went out of production. Find this 1969 Datsun 2000 (equipped from the factory with the desirable Mikuni/Solex carbs and higher lift camshaft) for sale in Harrison, AR currently bidding on ebay for $8,900 reserve-not-met with a few hours to go.
This roadster looks great in the photos – it sits nice and low on some bitching looking 15″ Panasport wheels.
This 2.0 liter SOHC is equipped with the competition package that bumps power up to 150 horsepower via a high lift cam and twin Mikuni/Solex carbs.
Inside it sports an aftermarket steering wheel but otherwise looks well kept.
With the competition package the Datsun 2000 should be able to drive circles around a similar vintage MGB, TR6 or Fiat 124 and is less seen on the road too! Even nearing $10k this one gets a big thumbs up from us.
