100cc of Social Displacement: 1939 Peugeot P52 Motorcycle
This next car…errr…two wheeler…comes from tipper Brad who writes: I thought you might dig this very interesting (presumably rare) little motorbike—although I cannot recall whether you are a cars-only outlet…This old cycle definitely deserves the label survivor, esp. considering it was produced in Europe just as WW2 was getting underway. It seems like all the money is being asked but, as usual, where will you find another? Anyhow, what’s better for social distancing than a single-seater? There’s no room to haul bulk parcels of toilet paper, but they cannot be found anyway. Stay safe. I couldn’t have said it better myself — thanks Brad!! Find this 1939 Peugeot P52 Motorcycle offered for $3500 in Coatesville, PA via craigslist.

1/2 year made of “one year only bike”. Survived Hitler in remarkable condition! Got it running strong! Everything works. Has wrist pin tap. Easy fix. [separate motor and trans] Have import papers which may turn into title

Very interesting and have fond memories of riding the tank as a kid of a 98cc Sachs Wanderer around 1950 with my dad with tent on his back and mom riding her Moped going camping on the side of the Rhine river.
Boy this ticks off all the boxes!
Slow , yet dangerously fast ( My bicycle has bigger brakes )
Primary chain out in the open.
Suicide clutch or is that a hand shift?
Interesting engine. that has got to be the longest stroke 2 stroke 100cc I've seen judging by the carb and exhaust locations, and I can't quite figure out the exhaust has two pipes. Perhaps a really low rpm engine? The chain from the pedals seems to be missing, must be fun to start with that clutch.
Just look at those mufflers!
Oh and it's French.
I want this for garage art. I could sit and stare at it for hours and never lose interest. So perfectly simple and aged. Too bad it's all the way across the country from me. Fly out and ride it back? What could possibly go wrong?
