• Our 2005, has been great. Bought it new, 125k miles, typical issues, water pump, radiator, etc.

    Really the only downside is must run premium, yeah Costco. Plenty go get up and go and about 22 MPG.

  • I gotta disagree with Tim….Our same gen Outback, when it hit 75-80k miles, started approaching Maserati Bi-turbo levels of reliability, and I know many with the same experience. Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

    • I concur. I've owned three of these things, two for more than 50k miles each and it's as though there's a switch that flips at 70k that turns them into early-90's Hyundais.

      I think we have this conversation every time one of these things hits DT.
