• Pardon the incredibly stupid question, but excluding kit cars and low-run oddities, did these tail lights ever make an appearance on something outside of the FoMoCo family? I'm having a really hard time coming up with anything outside of the cars already mentioned.

    • Interesting — I typically see the CD with Fiat 124 coupe (AC '67-'69 version) tail lights. Were these Pinto units factory fitted as well? Perhaps late production?

  • Ford pickups and van taillights from 1967 on up to mid-1970's, turned 90%. I always assumed that was a parts bin dive they did when developing first the Maverick, then the Pinto…quick and dirty, eliminating the need to design something from scratch.

  • Might have worked better with, well let's call them triumph tr-3 tail lights. They were used on a lot of little British cars, probably a whole slew of odd ball stuff from that era too
