Dash camera videos are all over the internet showing cashed-up folks in Gelandewagens doing some pretty crazy things in the chaos of Moscow traffic. Want to be a new-Russian billionaire but don’t have the billions or Soviet upbringing? No problem, we’ve got you covered. Don your gold plated sunglasses and heavily distressed jeans, change your keyboard to Cyrillic, and sell everything you own to get yourself in this 2008 Mercedes-Benz G500 for sale in Torrington, MA for a very specific $58,861. This
post is part of DT’s 2016 Birthday Celebration of 100 cars;
enjoy the ride!
The G-Wagen for the rest of the world was a tool for military invasion or farm work, whereas here in the US, it was a device used to celebrate your most recent NFL contract or transport you to the nearest bar with a single word as name. It’s a shame that there wasn’t a decontented version of the G500 for sale in the US, complete with tartan interior, white steel wheels, and turbodiesel. I guess that leaves the rest of us waiting on the patron saint of depreciation.
