I test drove one of these about 17 years ago, back when there was no way I could afford it. Don't care if it is a one-trick pony, nor that it is a tarted-up 1st gen Sonoma. It is an AWD platform with the legendary GN engine, and that makes it the bomb-diggity.

Believe it or not, the Syclone/Typhoon turbo V6 was not related to the GN/GNX/TA Anniversary engine, though perhaps some of the learning was applied.

One would think that having an additional half liter of displacement over the GN platform (3.8 to 4.3) would have allowed for great power numbers for the Syclone… if you believe advertising anyway. Maybe it was a Reduced Boost + Bigger Displacement = Better Emissions kind of thing.

came with discs up front and drums in the rear, not 4 wheel discs.
